Getting to Know You Better

     A friend sent me an e-mail with the subject, Getting to Know You Better. It was a list of 47 questions that she answered, and I was supposed to copy the questions and fill in my own answers. The instructions suggested that I e-mail my answers to all my friends, in hopes the interview would continue. I opted to just share my answers here.

1. FIRST NAME?

2. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?
Millions of people. I wasn't the first person on earth that was linguistically labeled.

3. WHEN DID YOU LAST CRY?
During a dream about a month ago. Woke up sobbing.

4. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING?
Certain variants, yes.

5. FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT?
NY deli sliced salami.

6. DO YOU HAVE KIDS?
I was offered a goat once and was told they make great pets, but I didn't take it.

7. DO YOU HAVE PETS? 
Not personally, but I am a companion to many dogs and a few cats.

8. DO YOU HAVE A JOURNAL?
Several.

9. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT?
Occasionally.

10. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS?
Yes.

11. WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP?  
Most likely.

12. DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? 
Depends which pair, but most of my shoes don't have laces.

13. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE STRONG? 
Yes, fairly.

14. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR?
Whatever my taste buds are craving, but I usually prefer chunky ice cream.

15. SHOE SIZE?  
Ranges between 4-7. There's no standard size, it's up to the manufacturers.

16. RED OR PINK?
Most cases, red.

17. WHAT IS THE LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF?
I have not been convincing enough yet to get the keys to a particular 1969 AMX. However, I'm working on this.

18. WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST? 
I've been thinking of the little guy, Codi, my dog friend.

19. DO YOU WANT EVERYONE TO SEND THIS BACK TO YOU? 
Not necessary. I have my own copy, thanks.

20. WHAT COLOR PANTS AND SHOES ARE YOU WEARING?  
Denim jeans and barefoot.

21. LAST THING YOU ATE? 
An apple.

22. WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW? 
Zero 7: Simple Things; Track 9: Out of Town. Also hear the clicking of the keys on my keypad.

23. FAVORITE SMELLS? 
Too many delightful ones to list.

24. WHO WAS THE LAST  PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE? 
A friend in Alaska.

25. PEOPLE YOU ARE ATTRACTED TO?
People I admire.

26. DO YOU LIKE THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU?
Very much. Cheryl is a great soul.

27. FAVORITE DRINK? 
I look forward to morning coffee.

28. FAVORITE SPORT?
This year, running. Steve Prefontaine and Forrest Gump are my running idols.

29. HAIR COLOR?  
Medium brown, but I've been toying with the idea of auburn.

30. EYE COLOR?  
"Hazel"

31. DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS?
No, but I develop them.

32. FAVORITE FOOD?
I'm partial to tuna, tekka maki, hold the mayo please.

33. SCARY  MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS?
Happy endings.

34. LAST MOVIE YOU  WATCHED? 
Sahara.

35. FAVORITE PLACE TO GO?
Where ever I can get a good flight with my kite.

36. SUMMER OR WINTER?
Summer.

37. HUGS OR KISSES? 
A hug is a good start.

38. FAVORITE DESSERT?
Any dessert that can make me go, "Mmmmm".

39. WHO IS MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND?
It's a curious question.

40. LEAST LIKELY TO RESPOND?
It's a curious question.

41. WHAT BOOKS ARE YOU READING? 
It's hard to read while typing on the keypad, but a dictionary sits by my side.

42. WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? 
I don't have one. I usually use a piece of paper or the top of my thigh.

43. WHAT DID YOU WATCH LAST NIGHT ON TV? 
I went out last night.

44. FAVORITE SOUNDS?

Beatles are classic, but the Rolling Stones rock on.

46. THE FARTHEST YOU'VE BEEN FROM HOME?
I've never been far.

Talent is a vague word, and aren't we all special?
