Birthday Wishes to a Little Swab

Ahoy little lad, I’m gaining sea time in the Pacific Ocean
on an unflagged vessel. The seas can get rough, but us sailors take
it like a shot of rum...easy and smooth.
We docked at Monterey, CA for the
night for fuel and grub, and I stumbled my way into the local watering
hole this evening, the London
Bridge Pub, for their fine spirits and free Wi-Fi.
Tomorrow we plan set out in the high
seas for more northerly climes. Our final resting dock is Seattle,
and we’ll be there in 7 days if the weather doesn't wrestle
our hats off. The deck needs a good cleaning and now that I've been
promoted to 1st Mate, someone has to fill my shoes. Soon you'll
be old enough to swab the deck.

Arrrh, young lad, you'll remember
these wise words of wisdom from your sea-adventuring aunt one day.
You'll read a book and your mum, dad and figureheads will share
many more stories than the book will ever speak of.
Fair winds and following seas. Happy
1st little mate.
