#10 Cleanliness
     Menstrual cycle

Once in awhile a woman is unprepared for her period. When this happens and there are no hygiene products available, she has to improvise. One effective method is to make a sanitary pad the ancestor’s way with sphagnum moss. With up to 20x absorption rate and its antiseptic qualities, sphagnum moss is an ideal plant to use where it is readily available.
Find something clean to wrap the moss in; don’t apply directly to the body. Paper towels and tissue paper are common materials to use. If you have tape, you can hold the wrap together better with a piece of tape on the bottom of the pad.
