Private Residence, Westchester, NY

During a six-month property managment position, Patané finished details on residential rentals and networked to get tenants for the spaces. For the landlord-homeowner, Patané assisted with regular household tasks, yard maintenance and organizational clean-up. One of the homeowner's larger projects consisted of their bathroom renovation, which Patané managed its demolition, design and construction.

After the old tile and three layers of wallboard were removed, space was maximized in the room. A hallway linen closet was closed in to utilize the space inside the bathroom, putting a full-length bathroom linen cabinet in its place. Patané framed the new tub surround wall to accompany a marble shelf inset with a mirror backing, and she added blocking for grab bars. Being an old house, the floor needed to be leveled and one wall required new, plumb studs.

During demolition, the last layer of wallboard consisted of a fiberous beaver board, and four different patterns of wallpaper were found on it.
