ROOTS
AND ROYALTY
Growing up at the Cross Roads
Cross Roads is the place that my ancestors built
and I was raised at. It is where my family stems its business. I contribute
to the family business by gaining knowledge of the roads that branch from
this intersection.
As
a traveler, I explore many roads to learn our world better, yet my best
wisdom can from standing still at this place.
As a handywoman, I’m on the street corner
seeking work with a cardboard sign, yet I have a set of keys to the homes
of leaders around the world.
As an artist, I physically dig the earth deep
to build strong foundations, and I can dance on top of my notched rafters
with practiced agility to capture balanced perspectives.

found its best structure. The format of a film’s DVD jacket provided
an organized way to cross-reference and contribute to Handywoman’s
Companion. This format formed the foundation for the site, and what
is contributed is the growing architecture. Images can be changed and
small shifting of material can be done to the Web site without much layout
effort.
