Art is in everything. Be resourceful.
An
artist understands that design comes in all forms. Whether we work in
computer code or with chisel and mallet, we are artists. Handiwork presents
not one trade discipline, but several forms of art and media which are
interconnected.
As I continued my handiwork, I tackled the projects
that interested me. A few requests came in for graphic and Web design
work, too.

Site Commentary:
Alaska
HandyWoman’s initial Web design was text-based with minimal graphics,
because I had make the most with what I had available. In attempt to make
the design striking, I used deeper colors for the pages’ backgrounds.
Alaska HandyWoman's Web site was initially designed in March 2003.
Through
the summer I continued to work jobs including the construction of a 20’
x 18’ deck and a building addition for Stellar Communications.
